2021 Mercedes-Benz AMG® GLE Horsepower and More

2021 Mercedes-Benz GLE AMG 63 for sale now

Last year saw the Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV redesigned. This year, the in-house performance tuners at AMG® get their turn, and they’ve graced us with the 2021 Mercedes-Benz AMG® GLE. If you’ve ever looked at a Mercedes-Benz GLE and wanted a little — or a lot — more of everything it offers, this is exactly how to get it, and visiting Mercedes-Benz of Burlington is where you get it.

2021 Mercedes-Benz AMG® GLE Details

There are two different versions of this powerful Mercedes-Benz AMG® model.

The Mercedes-Benz AMG® GLE 53 packs an electrically-assisted twin-turbo six-cylinder engine that’s good for 429 horsepower, while the Mercedes-Benz AMG® GLE 63 ups the horsepower figure to a nigh-ludicrous 603 horses.

Both engines route their power to standard 4MATIC® AWD via a nine-speed transmission.

There are also some serious enhancements under the sheet metal. The brakes are upgraded for smooth and safe stops. Just as important, the suspension combines active anti-roll bars with a system of airbags for leveling, comfort, and tighter cornering.

A sport steering wheel is standard and comes in handy for corralling all that horsepower. The sport leather seats with red contrast stitching feel as good as they look (and can be augmented with an optional third row).

There are other AMG®-specific stylistic touches that set this SUV apart from the Mercedes-Benz GLE, from the red seatbelts to the aluminum accents.

2021 Mercedes-Benz AMG® GLE Safety and Special Features

That attention to detail extends to the technology on offer. There’s a pair of 12.3-inch displays, one for the instrument cluster, one for the MBUX infotainment system. There’s the optional AMG® Track Pace feature that records performance data and displays it on the infotainment display or optional heads-up display.

And of course, there’s ample standard and optional safety tech. AEB, steering assist, and forward-collision warning are standard, and these features can be augmented with adaptive cruise control (with a stop-and-go feature), lane keep assist, and lane departure warning.
